We discussed how we’d like to overhaul the website. We’ve made changes in the last few months to the layout and the way we present information on the website. Posts to the website are now automatically sent out on social media and via email to subscribers to ensure everyone’s kept in touch.
We’d really like to implement a cart system for accepting membership payments and entries for events. It’s possible we could use some WordPress plugins for this. The intent is that people can register on the site, renew their membership and when entries open for an event, they just have to click a button to enter without filling out their details again as we do with the Google Forms we currently use. This reduces effort for the membership secretary and event organising team as well as the competitors. Keeping the membership database as a database rather than using our current spreadsheet system would be a massive bonus.
