It’s easy – and not expensive.
The annual subscription is £20. This will buy you your passport to a world of motorsport, because membership of the club will automatically entitle you to take part in all our Clubsport events – AutoSolo, Production Car Trials and Navigational exercises. Only by becoming a member of a Motorsport UK Recognised Club such as ours can you apply for a licence to compete in National-B status Trials, AutoSolos, Sprints and Hillclimbs. For more information on Getting Started in Motorsport please click here.
As a Full Member, you’ll have a copy of the regular club magazine Driving Mirror posted directly to your home. In it you will find news and comment from within the club, details of forthcoming sporting and social events, plus anecdotes, experiences and advertisements from members. If you prefer, you may choose not to have a printed copy and just read the online version, which is available on this website.
A partner and/or other family members living at the same address can have Associate Membership for the additional sum of only £10 each. Associate Members enjoy the same privileges and benefits as Full Members, with the exception that they do not receive a separate copy of the club magazine.
Annual membership lasts for the calendar year, i.e. to the end of December, but if you are a new member and apply from 1 October onwards, your membership will run to the end of the following year.
Anyone who has been a member of the club for at least a year can apply for Life Membership for a one-off fee of £300. For more information about this please contact the Membership Secretary.
Whether you join or renew your membership you will receive a numbered membership card. New members will also be sent a complimentary plastic windscreen sticker and a copy of the most recent magazine.
Before completing the application form you are advised to familiarise yourself with the Club Rules and Bye-Laws – you will be asked to confirm that you have read them during the application process. Should you need to refer back to them at any time they are permanently available from this page, and in the Reference section.
Anyone who has previously been a member of the club will have had the opportunity to earn Reward Points, which may be redeemed as full or part payment for their membership subscription. More information about the scheme and also the current RP table is available on the Reward Points page of this website.
Providing you use online banking, all you need to do now to join or renew online is click here, and follow the instructions, including those for online payment by electronic bank transfer. Your application will not be processed until your BACS payment has been received.
Otherwise, you can download a printable Membership Application/Renewal Form to fill in and send off to the Membership Secretary (address is on the form). Please don’t forget your cheque for the appropriate amount, payable to Bristol Motor Club.
