Club Displays

We had the club gazebo on the Chipping Sodbury Classic Run held by the Rotary Club.  A few members attended and enjoyed themselves.  We also ran a small display at Heathfest.  We had poor attendance from our members at this event and our display did not meet our own standards.  We’d need stronger commitments from people to run this stand again.

Portishead Soapbox

We donated to St Peter’s Hospice for the team run by some of our Vincenzo & Sons MX5 Challenge drivers.  The kart ran well with our stickers and those of our sponsors, Vincenzo & Sons Barbering Emporium on Gloucester Road and Ivywood Construction.  The team enjoyed themselves immensely and plan to compete again.

Dick Mayo Taster Solo

Motorsport UK have granted us a permit to run a taster AutoSolo during the lunch break at the Dick Mayo Sprint.  We’ll be using a team of experienced drivers to give passenger rides for the duration of the lunch break.  If you want to get involved, either as a driver, timekeeper or belt-strapper, please do let Andy Laurence know.  If you’re marshalling the sprint, then you’d best not volunteer for this as it’ll be in your lunch break!
