Committee Digest: September 2019
A little late with the digest this month, just in time to remind you of club night this Tuesday at Colston’s School in Stapleton. We didn’t have much to discuss this month, with little to review from August and planning for next year waiting on dates from venues and negotiations with championship organisers.
Talking of next year, we’re going to run the Classic and Performance Parade as we all seemed to enjoy it so much this year. We’re also going to run an extra sprint at Llandow, provisionally in August 2020 with the help of BARC Wales. We’re also definitely opening 2020 with the karting event at Teamsport in Avonmouth as support for the event has been good. You can bring your whole family, as long as they’re at least 8 years old.
In terms of recent events, Westonzoyland was full for the first time. That’s testament to the hard work the team put in to make the venue better and the people working on the day to make it run so well. The event still finished before 16:00, despite 40 entries and a course that can’t support more than two cars at once. If you fancy reviewing a recent event for Driving Mirror or the website, Matt would be pleased to receive your report, whether it’s three sentences or three pages!
