Classic and Performance Parade

Castle Combe Circuit Sunday 28 July 2019

In June 2011 we celebrated our Centenary with an all-day party at Castle Combe. For that celebration we tracked down and invited cars from every year since the club was formed. In addition, in October that year we staged a memorable one-day retro display, under the title Spirit of the 60s at Dyrham Park, where we used to run the legendary hillclimb back in the 60s. As a result of these events, we made lots of friends in the classic car fraternity, and many of them still come back each summer, on the day after the Dick Mayo Sprint, to fill the Castle Combe paddock with sports cars of all ages. Not only that, for a small fee drivers can take their classic on the track with their friends and family on board, just as long as the car is road registered. In general we’ve been pretty lucky with the weather, and with no requirement for safety equipment like helmets and overalls, it’s a relaxed, top-down, short-sleeved, sun-soaking experience that puts the biggest smiles on faces!

Details are emailed a month or two before the next event to those who has previously taken part, and published here around the same time.
